One of my two corgis, Yuki, loves playing in the snow. Needless to say she loves it. Here’s a video of her going nuts this morning in the freshly fallen snow. Watch for her derpy faces — so cute!
Her name means ‘snow’ in Japanese, so that worked out.
You’ll also see my other corgi, Einstein. He’s not a fan of snow, though he isn’t opposed to playing in any weather.
A comic about how I, a non-corgi owner, feel when I run into people with corgis.

I always let those who ask, pet Pudge. Pudge, of course, goes wild and totally hams it up.
I got the sweetest card in the mail today.
I’ve kept it mostly to myself, and I don’t want to go into it now, but one of my corgis, Einstein, is really sick. It’s potentially bad and I’ve been worried sick about him for weeks now. He goes in for his third round of tests next week. Keep him in your thoughts.
I got this card in the mail today from Allistair and Max. The adorable corgi art on the front and sweet and thoughtful words on the inside were really nice to get on a day where I’m in a haze from sleeplessness from worrying about him.
Thanks so much, you two. Very thoughtful. Ein loves the card, too.
I’ve attached a picture of him being his crazycute self.

My new corgi, Yuki!
The Corgi King would like to announce the newest member of the corgi royal family, and the second in line to the throne after Prince Einstein. I present to you princess Yuki.
Check out a full gallery of pictures of Yuki-chan here.
Yuki (or Yukiko, Yuki-chan) is a super-pretty red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She’s 9 months old now. She was originally intended to be a show dog, but ended up being far too sweet and submissive for such a job. So sweet. So the breeder placed her in my home knowing that we would love her dearly. It’s almost as if she was predestined to become my puppy!
Here’s the magic of this rare situation where a dog to be shown goes to a normal home instead: I got a puppy that was already housebroken, crate trained, and lead trained. I can’t stress how awesome this is.
Yuki-chan is so small when compared to my 6-year-old tri-color, Einstein. But she already loves her big brother dearly. They do everything together: eat, sleep, play, walk, and even poop. Of course, I’m thrilled to have a new corgi, but I’m happier that Ein has a sibling. Her affection for him sometimes annoys him, but he loves her for sure.
Anyone that knows me can guess how thrilled I am about this new addition to the family.
